Due to some unforeseen circumstances starting this week, 4/22/25 OUR OFFICE WILL BE MOVING, and we will now be located at 480 E. Moana Lane, Reno, NV 89502. We will be working hard to get all set up at our new place, so our office will be closed starting April 23 through May 5th. With this change, we will also be pausing all consultations beginning this week and for the whole month of May. We will continue to keep you updated as needed. Our Immigration Legal Services program has served the community since 2006. We aim to provide high quality, low-cost or pro bono legal immigration services for foreign-born individuals and their families who seek to obtain or extend lawful immigration status or who are seeking citizenship in the United States.

Before we start a case, our legal representatives complete a consultation/screening to assess eligibility for immigration benefits.

These consultations, which cost $50.00, are offered *BY APPOINTMENT ONLY*.

Please contact our office to schedule a consultation. Slots for consultations open on Tuesdays at 9:00am for the week of the appointment and are generally scheduled on Thursday mornings, or the third Monday of every month. (There will be no consultations in May 2025)

Appointment slots are limited, so we recommend calling as close to 9:00am on Tuesdays as possible.

Services

We provide consultations to determine eligibility and are committed to helping individuals understand the immigration law and know their rights under the law. Our focus is to assist those who would otherwise not be able to obtain legal representation. Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada’s Immigration Legal Services program is recognized by the Department of Justice and employs staff who hold Accreditation to represent individuals in immigration legal matters before the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR).

Don’t be a victim of notario fraud! Immigration laws are complex – seek help from a certified legal representative. Be sure to consult with an immigration attorney or a representative who holds accreditation through the Department of Justice. For more information, visit www.stopnotariofraud.org.

Donate to our Law Library: Monetary donations for book/materials are always welcome OR as you plan your annual law library updates, please consider donating the outgoing/older editions to us.

Donate to our Pro-Bono Fund to support our work with our most vulnerable clients, including victims of domestic violence, asylees/refugees, and homeless clients.

Put your language skills to workand volunteer to help with language translations or assist with administrative tasks in our office.

Currently seeking assistance with the Haitian Creole Language

Attorneys or Law Students interested in human rights, immigration law, serving individuals and families seeking safe haven in the United States, can volunteer to take on pro-bono or low-bono referral cases.
